Jasmin & Anderson - ATEO Choreography
An emotional bachata concept dance video to 'Ateo' by Nathy Peluso — edited as a private passion project. A dreamlike story about longing, illusion and an unexpected encounter.
This private passion project came together in creative collaboration with my colleague and dance partner Anderson — a videographer himself (Made by Roots Media). Together we developed the idea, choreography and cinematic execution for a dance video set to ‘Ateo’ by Nathy Peluso, embedding the bachata dance style in a small, narrative story.
At the centre is a quiet dreamer: a nerd who longs for a dance partner. Seconds later, exactly the woman of his imagination appears — elegant, sensual, as if from a dream. The two dance together, seemingly bound by music and movement. But suddenly he wakes from his fantasy — alone, deflated. Just as he’s about to leave, the woman from his dream crosses his path in real life. Casual, in everyday clothes. And on his face, a small, hopeful smile.
I handled the complete post-production. What made this project so special for me was the open, creative collaboration with MadeByRoots — and the chance to bring dance and emotion into a narrative form.
